This Introduction to Campaigning course is designed to support people who want to get involved, but aren’t sure how.

Covering everything from what a campaign actually is and how to choose an issue to work on, to the basics of how to organise a protest, this course will skill you up to get involved in the fight of our lives.

With the eyes of the world on Scotland’s climate action this year, we have a real opportunity to make progress towards building a better Scotland and a world that works for people and the planet.

This is the perfect time to get involved and start talking to your friends and neighbours about how you can come together to take action for real change.

Who is it for?

The course is free to attend and open to all. It will take place over 8 online workshops between now and May 2021. Just click Register on Workshop 1 below to get started.

If you have any questions about the course or accessibility needs, feel free to get in touch at activism [at] foe.scot

About the Event on 14th April: Developing a Strategy

Lets get strategic!

Organising to make real change means that we need to choose our target and our tactics carefully. Who has the power to make the change we want? What does our group have the capacity to achieve? What impact might these actions have on our group and members?

Strategy doesn’t have to be complicated, or unchangeable. Think of it like a map so that you can get stuck in with your journey without getting lost along the way.

Joining and Accessibility

This session will take place online via Zoom on Wednesday, 14th April from 6-8pm BST. You will be sent joining instructions when you have registered.

This session is open to anyone in Scotland currently involved or interested in getting involved in the climate movement. No prior knowledge or experience is needed.

This will be an interactive workshop, but all activities are optional.

The session will not be recorded but slides and resources will be sent out afterwards.

Due to budget restrictions we cannot provide BSL or closed captions as standard, however if either of these or any other accessibility requirements, would make it easier for you to participate, please let us know in your sign up form or email activism@foe.scot
