Following publication of the Medact Report The Recruitment of Children by the UK Armed Forces: a Critique from Health Professionals the Peace and & Justice Centre is inviting anyone interested in getting involved in countering military visits to schools and recruitment of under 18s to come along to an initial meeting of a new working group.
The Medact report explores how emotional & cognitive development in young recruits makes them vulnerable to risk-taking behaviour. It looks at the long-term health impacts of the British military’s recruitment of under-18s.
