National (UK) Alternative Remembrance Ceremony 2020 Online
Join the P&J and Peace Pledge Union and others online on Remembrance Sunday. Instead of the usual events in Tavistock Square in London and in Edinburgh, this year the National Ceremony will bring groups together from around the UK for a shared moment of remembrance.
At 12 midday on Sunday 8th November PPU is bringing together members and supporters from England, Wales, Scotland and beyond online for a moment of remembrance, speakers and poetry. This will include video of P&J members laying a white poppy wreath at the site of the planned Opposing War Memorial in Princes St Gardens.
The Alternative Remembrance event that we had planned jointly with Veterans for Peace Scotland for Sunday 8 Nov. in Edinburgh at Opposing War Memorial site in Princes St Gardens has been CANCELLED due to COVID.
