Week of Action is organized by Stand Up to Racism UK. From the event Facebook page:
As part of the activities to mark the anniversary of the death of George Floyd, Stand Up To Racism has called for week of action from Saturday 22 May.
On Saturday 22 we are calling for Stand Up To Racism groups to work with other organisations to build for socially distanced protests in towns and cities across Britain to offer solidarity to the BLM movement in the US and highlight the issue of police racism and the new police bill – with its attack on the right to protest – in the UK. In the evening there will be a major online meeting with activists from the US and Britain.
On the anniversary itself – Tuesday 25 May – we are asking for groups to work with other organisations to build for #TakeTheKnee events.
