Joining us as an Associate with Peace & Justice or Secure Scotland is your chance to work with our community and make lifelong connections. If you are passionate about any aspect of peace human rights and looking after our world we want to hear from you. Associates are offered an induction that includes visits to Faslane nuclear base, the Peace Camp and the Scottish Parliament.
We can offer an introduction to working with Parliamentarians, NGOs, academic institutions, international organizations and campaigners. You will be encouraged and supported in writing blogs, news articles briefings and press releases.
You will learn about shaping policies, influencing debates and creating real change.
Associates benefit from direct involvement in projects across a wide range of topics, while supporting operations, events and social media engagement.
Working closely with your mentor and the small staff team, you will enjoy dedicated development time and opportunities to improve skills like public speaking and event chairing. Your assigned mentor will support and guide you throughout your time with us, suggesting training opportunities and helping you define your professional and career goals.
You will receive a per diem expenses allowance and an honorarium for specific contributions to our work.
