Peacebuilding for Schools Facilitator Trainings

 20 & 27 October. 10am – 2pm.

Two part half day initial training sessions for our schools programme. Those who complete the initial training are eligible to continue as volunteer Facilitator Trainees accompanying our Lead Facilitators delivering 8 week programme of two hour sessions at schools.

PeaceBuilders workshops are run in Edinburgh Primary schools, and support the Curriculum for Excellence Health and Wellbeing outcomes by developing children’s skills in; understanding self and others, managing  emotions, communication, and dealing with conflict.

This training will give you:
★ An initial exposure to the PeaceBuilders model
★ Practical grounding in facilitating learning through cooperative games
★ A chance to meet and learn with experienced facilitators
★ An entry-way into further PeaceBuilders trainings

This is an initial exposure training, to be followed, by those who wish, by an 8 week placement in a Primary School. It is open to those considering continuing on the full Facilitator Training Programme, and for those desiring personal and professional development.

Cost: £30 (or pay what you can)for those doing the training for personal development.

The monetary request is waived for those continuing on the
Facilitator Training programme.

Free to prospective Facilitators.

Edinburgh venue given upon registration.
