The United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP23) is from Monday 6 to Friday 17 November 2017 in Bonn. Hosted by the Republic of Fiji, the theme is: Increasing engagement, increasing ambition.
Local opportunity: To complement the formal COP, Parties of the Conference are local, independent events organised by citizens groups across the globe to support the COP summit’s goals. Our objective is to connect local actions to global climate processes, empower local stakeholders, and raise awareness about on-the-ground projects.
Get Involved: Local experts and community members are invited* to share projects about our city’s own initiatives to encourage an in-depth and local perspective of the COP talks. As the Parties are initiated by citizens, the events are relevant to specific needs of the community and seek partners to gain a shared understanding of the COP.

6.30pm Multiple Screenings of COP23 Highlights: View short documentaries plus many different snippets of the conference proceedings … and to research the trends and analyse the final statement emerging.
7.30pm Break (feel free to bring your songs and fiddles)
8.00pm Collective Reflections on how COP23 impacts Edinburgh and Scotland: Skype interview with some of the delegates; interactive chat about how it went
9.00 – 9.30pm Closing and Socials
