Event Details

Interested in Climate Change progress? Join Edinburgh celebrations for UN Conference of the Parties (COP23) in Bonn, 5.30-9pm, Tuesday 7 November at Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI), High School Yards, 12 Infirmary St EH1 1LZ.

Register via https://poc7nov.eventbrite.co.uk and via Facebook

The United Nations Conference of the Parties is from Monday 6 November to Friday 17 November 2017 in Bonn. Hosted by the Republic of Fiji, the theme is: Increasing engagement, increasing ambition.

Local opportunity: To complement the formal COP, Parties of the Conference are local, independent events organised by citizens groups across the globe to support the COP summit’s goals. Our objective is to connect local actions to global climate processes, empower local stakeholders, and raise awareness about on-the-ground projects.

Get Involved: Local experts and community members are invited* to share projects about our city’s own initiatives to encourage an in-depth and local perspective of the COP talks. As the Parties are initiated by citizens, the events are relevant to specific needs of the community and seek partners to gain a shared understanding of the COP.

*If you can contribute to one or both Parties please email EdinburghPOC23@gmail.com giving your full contact details and saying how you’d like to get involved.
Thank you, Clifton, David, Elisa and Pauline
