Walking in Faith – Climate Change and Interfaith Action

Event Details

  • Date:

Hosted by the COP26 Coalition.

From the event Facebook page:

People of faith have a unique contribution to offer in the pursuit of climate justice. All faith communities emphasise a deep interconnectedness between nature and the divine and the importance of compassion for the Earth and all those who live on it. It is universal amongst all faiths that acting on your beliefs means seeking fairness and caring for the marginalised and persecuted.
Join us for a conversation with people from diverse faith backgrounds as we consider how to act in this crucial year for climate justice. We’ll examine how faith communities can best work together to make COP count, how to get involved in political and direct action based on your faith principles and how to build the interfaith climate movement this year and beyond.
You’ll have the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers, learn from those who are putting their faith into action and discuss how to build coalitions of differing traditions and experience that speak in one unified voice.
Register on Eventbrite as part of COP26’s 4-day online gathering. Event is at 10am BST.
