Tongues on fire is the producer of the UK Asian Film Festival 2018, previously the London Asian Film Festival, which aims to entertain, inform and educate. This annual film festival has been going strong for over nineteen years and champions the arts and cinema, intertwining political and social messages with entertainment. This year we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the festival by screening thought provoking as well as entertaining films from the independent cinema of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Canada and UK. The festival will be held in Edinburgh, London, Leicester and Manchester from 14th March – 31st March.
Making 100 years of women gaining the right to vote in the UK, the theme of the UK Asian Film Festival 2018 is F-Rated -films that cinematically represent women, on film or behind the camera, and that are female-centric in subject matter.
