Come along to a FREE gathering of young activists from all over the country, where we will forge links, make friendships and share valuable campaigning skills to prepare us for a year of organised and effective environmental and social justice activism in Scotland! All experience levels, identities and interests are welcome.
Prospective workshops and sessions include learning about intersectionality in the environment movement, the future of Fossil Free and Undoing Borders campaigns in Scotland, skill-sharing with our members, how to start chapters and campaigns in your area, learning about co-operatives and how to set them up, setting up effective activists networks in Scotland, facilitation training and more. Evening activities may include film nights, game nights and/or a trip to the pub (dry alternatives always provided).
We aim to make the event as accessible as possible; vegan food will be provided, as well as accommodation if needed. If financial barriers would prevent you from attending we may be able to reimburse travel costs as well.
Venue in Edinburgh TBD
7pm Friday, October 12th- 8pm Sunday, October `14th 2018. No session or portion is mandatory; come when you can and leave when you need.
We look forward to meeting and reuniting with everyone!
